Water confidence starts with one skill at a time.

Camp Otter ISR teaches babies and young children survival swimming skills through patient, one-on-one Infant Swimming Resource lessons

The ISR Program

Self-Rescue® Foundations

Designed for infants as young as 6 months, these lessons focus on the essential skill of rolling from a face-down position in the water onto their back to float, rest, and breathe until help arrives.

Swim-Float-Swim Technique

For children one year old and up, we teach a sequence of swimming with the head down, rolling to the back to breathe, and then flipping back over to continue swimming to safety.

Water Competency Restored

Our lessons go beyond standard strokes, instilling a deep understanding of buoyancy and breath control, ensuring your child is equipped with life-saving skills for any aquatic environment. These skills lead to fully recreational swim enjoyment, while maintaining self-rescue skills in case they are ever needed.

Infant Survival Skills

Water safety is our primary mission. We teach infants as young as 6 months to navigate a water encounter by rolling onto their backs to breathe and float. These life-saving skills provide parents with peace of mind and children with a critical foundation for a lifetime of safe and confident swimming experiences.

What Camp Otter ISR Parents Say

“Mr. Cam knew exactly what my children needed. He paid attention to how they were feeling, and if they wanted to end the lesson a little early or if they needed extra time he adjusted as necessary. I highly recommend Camp Otter ISR.”

Henya

"In our darkest moment, there you were. Thank you for teaching our baby how to swim!"

The Ashlines

"Mr. Cam's communication and knowledge are both excellent. He does a great job keeping us (the parents) informed and confident during every lesson."
